Big idea of the Series: We cannot renew our minds on our own. But we can with the help of the Holy Spirit. We can also work against the Holy Spirit. This series will look at things we can do with the Holy Spirit’s help that will help us to experience more the Holy Spirit’s power and influence in our lives.
Hear God’s Word
Big idea: The scriptures were first spoken. The people woold listen to the scriptures being read. We need to spend time listening to God. We do that by listening to his word.
Read God’s Word
Big Idea: The Holy Spirit works through the word of God. The more we are in the word of God, more we will be able to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Study God’s Word
Big Idea: We need to learn how to apply what we are learning to our lives.
Big Idea: Only by memorizing God’s word are we able to make His word part of us. Then we will have his word with us at all times. The Holy Spirit will help us to remember what we have memorized.
Meditate on God’s Word
Big Idea: Only by thinking about God’s word can we begin living it out. The Holy Spirit renews our minds which in turns causes us to live closer in the will of God.
Pray God’s Word
Big Idea: When we spend time praying back to God what he has said to us in His Word the Bible, our thinking and actions will be in line with God.
